Oct. 15th, 2005 08:28 pmWhat did I do today? Hmm, well, I started work on Grandmommy's Christmas present. So far everyone who's seen me working on it has liked it, so here's hoping she does.
My CD player died on Thursday, and I got a new one at the Dollar Store. This one actually plays CDs, novel concept. Shelving goes so much better with Phantom of the Opera on headphones.
Kathy, my supervisor, brought in doughnuts and bagels for us library aids today. I didn't even check out the doughnuts, because there were bagels! Cinnamon Raisin, with cream cheese. I saved mine for lunch, there's a toaster in my dorm's kitchen. The bagel ended up slightly burnt, but still wonderful and yummy.
And I got together with one of the girls in my group, the one I don't get a headache talking to. We planned out our group presentation on Bathsheba, which is going to include clips from King George and the Ducky. We have to talk to Dr. Stein about one of our ideas, but hopefully she'll go for it. This meeting was supposed to be for all of us in the group, but the girl I have problems didn't show up. On the one hand, it was annoying because she'd promised to be there, and I'd arranged the meeting time to make sure she could. On the other hand, the two of us who were there got a lot accomplished, and it was easier without her there. Oh well, I think I'm going to focus on the positive, we got a lot done and we have a plan for the presentation that should fill up the entire class period.
And I got to beta a wonderful story today, it's up on
celtic_sky's livejournal. If you like Atlantis at all, go read that story.
