We did a lot of the things we normally do. We visited the vintage clothes shop, smelled some of the things at the candle shop, tried on some beautiful chinese dresses at Dragon's Gate, and visited Nirvana. Now, Nirvana is known for its vaguely indian inspired clothes, its insense, and some of its interesting knick-knacks, many of which are asian-inspired. This time, there was something else. We saw something rather scary. Scary and tacky. A fiberoptic crucifix, with a light up cross that wouldn't be out of place in Vegas, and a fiberoptic crown of thorns. As one we turned our heads up to the dragons that were one shelf above, and said, "Dear dragons, save us from the scary, evil, bad Jesus." We figured that at that point, God would not object.
