(no subject)

Listening to the news this morning, I am resisting the urge to start randomly choking Fundamentalist christians who think that we should be forcing through a bigoted Constitutional amendment to legally discriminate against homosexuals. Grr. And they know that it won't pass, and just want to do it to divide liberals and consolidate a conservative base for the next election. Politics at its worst.

And for the last time, would someone please give me a coherant reason why a marriage between two consenting adults who love each other is in any way a threat to me and my potential future marriage? Really, eight verses in the Bible, all of which are reacting to very explotative attitudes and practices, not what we concieve of as homosexual behavior today, and people get this violent and hateful? There are hundreds and thousands of verses about taking care of the poor, and a lot about not hating people, why can't we focus on that instead? Please?

In better news, I got my journal back from my philosophy teacher today. Let's just say that with the grade I got on that, I'm pretty much guaranteed an A in that class. Lots of nice comments and smilies in the margins as well. *grins* I really love this class, and I guess it showed.

elvisvf101, I've started work on that Susan fic you requested. I've got a paper that I need to work on tomorrow, but I should be able to finish it by Wednesday.
