Feb. 19th, 2007 11:27 pmOkay, note to self. Never put off writing an entry for the day until after a Quidditch club scavenger hunt. You will end up exhausted from running across campus twenty-odd times.
Good things about today:
1. My Physics teacher has a really cute kid. Absolutely adorable. The reason I know this? His wife had an emergency dentist appointment scheduled for his lecture time, so he was taking care of him.
It is incredibly hard to pay attention during a physics lecture when your teacher is carrying around his two-year-old son, said son first smiling at you, then falling asleep and drooling on your teacher's shoulder. It's probably a good thing this lecture was mainly comparing Ampere's law to Gauss' law, because that's the only reason I understood enough to follow along. Too much of my brain was side-tracked by "aww, cute kid".
2. I got a belated valentine from my aunt and uncle. *cuddles them* You know, if the focus wasn't so much on romantic love, I'd enjoy Valentine's Day more, just because of the notes my friends and family give.
3. Pictures of Quidditch club were taken today for the Evansville living paper. Out of eighty-odd people in the club, ten were able to make it.
jediravenclaw, none of the DE showed up. It was all Order members/Order sympathizers. But those of us who did show up had some fun.
4. Phone call with my mother. Because, as I've mentioned before, my mother is made of awesomeness, and I love talking with her.
Not as good thing:
The scavenger hunt didn't go quite as smoothly as I'd have hoped. At least for our house. Most of that was our own fault, we over-thought a few of the riddles, and we misinterpreted the rules of the hunt, assumed that we had to find all ten clues before we could come back and figure out the last question. There was some problems with not being able to get into buildings for a few clues, Koch Center only had one door open, and by the time we figured out the BS room clue, that entire building was locked. Still, even if we did come in last, our group did have fun.
