May. 13th, 2009 05:21 pmOh hi, LJ, I am still alive.
...Admittedly, I am still so very sleepy that I'm not sure I count as fully alive. 14 hour drives, even if they are through pretty countryside, are exhausting at best. Taking two midterms the day you get back, also not that great of an idea.
I have, however, finally seen my little brother's campus. My personal opinion, leaving out for a minute the woods on campus? UE was much better. We had prettier buildings, our grounds were better kept, and you could glance up from your computer seven minutes before class and still get there on time without running. Our library was about 4-5 times bigger than Hampshire's. And our administration/organization there pwns Hampshire's at any point in the day.
The woods, on the other hand, were kind of awesome. Especially the place where the students have set up a Zen garden out there, with a complex oral tradition on its maintainance and upkeep.
And because every lj entry is improved by a Firefly reference, this weekend I was reminded of Wash's comment "Some people juggle geese! Baby geese, goslings, they juggle them!" Because I was working Saturday at the garden center, and mother goose and a whole gaggle of goslings waddled past.
