(no subject)

I went to the doctor today for an actual physical, as opposed to doing the run-ins for my blood pressure issues. This was the first actual physical in about 6 years, I think?

Of course, this meant I got poked full of holes, as I'd apparently missed out on getting the Hep A vaccine earlier. I never mind the initial needlestick, but my deltoid is grumbling at me now, and it hated me when I was using my arm earlier.

I'm debating trying for NaNo this year, as it's the first year that I'm not completely swamped going into November. I actually do have a good chunk of that tv show meme concept plotted out, and it might work better as a book than a show. Plus, if I get absolutely stuck on the main plot thread, I can just start writing random interactions between the students in the club that may or may not be thinly disguised rip-offs of what Medieval Society/Quidditch Club did in college, adapted for these characters/situations. What, somebody's got to have a mascot that can get stolen by the Moriarty fans. Bonus, the new Sherlock BBC series gives a great discussion question for their second/third meeting, on Sherlock vs. Holmes and how the characters read similarly and differently because of context.
