Jun. 29th, 2013 11:46 pmI'm home. My luggage is still somewhere in Detroit, I'm sore pretty much everywhere, and Zach, one of my fellow YASCers is my hero.
Long story short, I originally had a pretty tight layover in Detroit. Then my plane out of La Guardia ended up delayed nearly three hours. It made up some time in the air, and they held the flight from Detroit to Dayton somewhat. But it involved a rather epic run through two whole concourses of Detroit Metro airport, with Zach, who lived in Detroit, running in front of me to direct me where I needed to go.
I kept hold of my carry-on, including my laptop, but the checked bag is still hanging out in Detroit and will not make its way to Dayton until Sunday or Monday, at which point the Dayton Airport will drive it out to my home.
Also, running down an escalator is disorienting and rather scary. I was pretty sure I'd fall forward and tumble down into Zach at a couple points.
