Nov. 7th, 2013 06:29 pmI find it somewhat amusing that I'm ending up communicating more with some of my friends since I've hit the Philippines than I did when I was back in the US. Part of that is that our sleep schedules mesh more now; I'm actually awake at two and three in the morning when they're being night owls. As a result, I may have gotten recruited in to helping write materials for a video game my friends' company is producing.
In other news, one of my fellow YASCers linked me to a video that the program put together to talk about YASC. They've made other videos, mostly talking to the YASCers in country. This one is a bit different; for this one they went to the church leaders in places that YASCers have served, and asked them what they thought the program contributed, both to the young adults and to the community. There are a lot of clips of Baguio in particular, and the Philippines in general, and one of the speakers is Attorney Floyd, who serves as the ultimate supervisor for the entire YASC program in the Philippines.
