Aug. 29th, 2007 08:41 pmSo I just managed to fall off of lj for the past few days. Sorry, I was adjusting to being back at school and battling a head cold. (BTW, Mom, it's a very good thing I decided to go for two boxes of Kleenex. I've already wiped one out and I'm making inroads on the second.)
I've got my course schedule planned out, except for coming up with the time for the Rabbi and I to meet. Tuesdays and Thursdays are definitely going to be my busiest days, as I have Physics, then all three of my regular religion courses: Living World Religions, Ancient Christianity, and Contemporary Theology.
And Wednesdays are definitely my slow days. I only have Latin then. Which means that my first day of classes was exactly one class period long. I have a feeling I'm going to really enjoy this year's Latin more than last year, though. To start off with, the class has five people in it, not counting the teacher. We're also restructuring a lot of it, with more emphasis on class participation and preparation before hand, and less on the quizzes. It's going to be good, I think. The bad part about it is that for our review we each have to re-teach chapters to the rest of the class, and I got stuck with two chapters, since we had an extra. Not exactly my idea of fun. *sighs*
Ah well, such is life.
We had our first bit of excitement today. There was a thunderstorm that knocked the power out almost immediately after I'd turned my computer off. So
petitecrivan and
nightshadow242 kidnapped me to play Uno in the dark and then go eat at Subway, rather than risk cold campus dining food.
Sadly, the power outage did not last long enough to cancel their auditions for orchestra, which means I owe them cookies and backrubs. I should probably wander back down to their room and see if they need them now.
