Jan. 20th, 2008 09:03 pmReason number two hundred and seventy-nine to never smoke:
Because on days when it's twelve degrees Fahrenheit out there, one is theoretically left with either going outside all the way to smoke, and thus becoming quite miserably cold, or staying inside the non-smoking building and, well, not smoking.
Unless, of course, you live in my dorm. In which case you either decide to stand right in the open door or don't actually go out and instead smoke in the stairwell beside it. The stairwell closest to my dorm room.
Have I mentioned that my roommate and I are very sensitive to cigarette smoke? As in, my roommate was already having a reaction to it from her evening out last night, but having it so close to her when she was trying to recuperate meant she was absolutely flattened all day. I'm not nearly as sensitized as she is, but still, I got exposed to the stuff and I ended up with a raging headache.
We finally opened up our window and shivered for an hour until the room aired out enough.
On the plus side, I signed up for the
femme_fic ficathon, and
wisdomeagle has discovered NCIS at the same time that I'm rediscovering it, which means that I'm squeeing lots, and then I run into one of her posts and start squeeing more.
Oh, and my roommate has found lolcats and is enjoying it muchly, which is also happy-making.
