Help Me Flist-Wan Kenobi
Jun. 22nd, 2008 03:54 pm...as I am unable to make a decision on this.
We're supposed to bring in two favorite songs for Popular Culture, and I cannot make up my mind on what the second one should be. First one is definitely "Fisher King" by Carrie Newcomer (Folk, solo female voice, acoustic, and hits my geeky side in a major way.)
Ideas for the second song include:
"Diva's Lament" or "All Alone" from Spamalot. (Though All Alone loses something when you can't see the Doctor Who fanvid, and I'd be borrowing someone's laptop, not showing it so the rest of the class could hear it.)
"A Little Death", from A Weekend In the Country
"Who Am I", from Les Miserables (yes, I apparently love musicals.)
"And The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" because of
heylittleriver
The new Gaelic Storm song, "The Night I Punched Russel Crowe" which has the advantage that I'd get to use my favorite introductory spiel of "the five good minutes in Titanic."
I'm leaning towards one of the last three, but every time I listen to them I end up scrabbling and wanting to play all three. Which, erm, is not exactly feasible.
Edited to fix html errors. I think I've caught them all now.
