Sep. 8th, 2008 11:07 pmGinger cookies and tea make me a very happy Mari. The only problem is not eating too many of them in one sitting, because they're so addictive.
My cat, on the other hand, thinks that I've had plenty of ginger cookies and sitting upright for one night, and I should go back to lying down and let him use my arm as a teddy bear again. It's tough being a cat. First your girl goes away to college and leaves you for long periods of time, and then when she comes back, she doesn't cater to your every whim and let you curl up on her for as long as you wish.
And Dad got a new cd in today, from a celtic group called Old Blind Dogs. I haven't heard much of their stuff yet, and I missed the majority of what he was playing off of the cd, but I do like what I heard. Sara liked it too, she danced a bit with me while Dad was playing "A Man's a Man For A'That".
Aside from that, things are pretty much normal. The kids are kids, the wedding stuff is proceeding, Mom has yet to have a heart attack from stressing out about sewing these bridesmaid dresses. Remind me to try to find a cheap fabric for my attendants' dresses if and when I ever get married. Just to keep Mom from re-living this bit of perfectionism.
