I only had one person request any drabbles from me. Luckily, Rishi asked for several.
Fandom: Merlin, Character: Morgana Prompt: Etiquette
Lessons
Step backward with your right foot, and forward with your left. Let your partner lead you through the dance, no matter how ill a job he does at leading. Speak clearly, never shout, and project with your diaphragm. Tilt your head in this position when you listen, and in that position when you speak. Servants are never to be acknowledged or addressed by name. Never gesture broadly or toss your hair in public, as it is unseemly and immodest to draw attention to yourself. Never interrupt a man when he addresses you.
Morgana has learned and discarded many etiquette lessons.
That prompt actually gets two drabbles for the price of one, because Morgana insisted that she was not done yet, thank you very much, now get back to writing. And thus:
Valuation
It’s not proper etiquette to address your servants by name, or even to acknowledge them at all.
Morgana was taught this long ago, along with many other rules of etiquette. But to have followed the proper forms would have meant giving up her dearest friend and companion. Gwen was more than hands fastening a dress, or mending a seam, more than flowers at daybreak. Gwen was a bastion of comfort in the night, and a smile bright enough to light the entire castle. Moreover, Gwen was a woman with dreams and hopes of her own. Gwen could never be ignored.
Fandom: Sailor Moon Character: Usagi Prompt: Dreams
Dreams
Minako dreamed of becoming a famous idol singer and model, of inspiring hundreds of other girls to follow in her footsteps. Makoto dreamed of opening her own restaurant and feeding everyone. Rei dreamed so many different dreams, writing, singing, of following in her grandfather’s footsteps with the shrine. Ami dreamed of becoming a doctor. Mamo-chan wished to learn everything, but mostly he wanted a family of his own. Michiru and Haruka wanted each other and to succeed in their careers. Hotaru wanted friends, and Setsuna wanted to not be alone.
All Usagi wanted was to see their dreams come true.
Fandom: Firefly Character: Inara Prompt: Dances
Dancing
As with many other skills, a Companion first began learning to dance when she was very young. Inara was trained in the formal styles of both Shinon and Londinium beginning from the age of five. She learned the stately story-dances, traditions from Earth-that-was, where a brief flick of a wrist held galaxies of meaning, and the folk-dances imported from the border planets as novelties. Inara had learned to move through them all with grace and subtlety, feeling the music throughout.
But she first began to love to dance when Mal cut in on a client and grinned at her glare.
