Jul. 17th, 2011 09:36 pmWell, I'm back.
I won't know the results of the interview for another four weeks or so, depending on how long it takes them to go through all the paperwork and make their decisions. I've got more of a shot than the men or the people with visible tattoos, less than those who had a lot more experience in massage/spas/retail. Hopefully the fact that I have a four-year degree will say that I've got what it takes to go through training and live in a small space.
I did at least get along pretty well with some of the other interviewees, and to a few of the other people staying at my hotel. With the fellow hotel-goers, well, I'm a sucker for any infant, and people tend to like people who like their kids.
I have to give a shout-out to Enrique, the guy at the front desk at my hotel. Mom was rather nervous about sending me off alone, and asked him to keep an eye on me and so on. He escorted me up to my room and then apparently called Mom (Or she called him, I wasn't quite sure) to let her know I'd gotten there safely. And as an object lesson in how different I can appear to various people, depending on circumstances, apparently his comment to her about me was, "She's such a quiet little thing, isn't she?"
lady_tigerfish,
heylittleriver,
sirutka, and others, feel free to stop laughing any time now.
