NCIS
I didn't get a chance to see this during the first run, so I was determined to watch it tonight.
May I just say that Abby is love? Seriously, the whole way through with lines like "Because I wanted him restrained, not beaten into a bloody pulp", or when she started babbling about being in an elevator, or when she talked herself out of feeling guilty about being stalked.
And then the fact that for the second time this season she's managed to rescue herself? Totally cemented my undying love for her character.
Plus I love the bond she has with everyone else, it really comes out in these cases.
Hmm, I was a bit bored by most of this, but I really enjoyed Vala's interactions with her child. That worked nicely, and I loved her dress.
Oh, and if Daniel gets killed/accidentally injured the most, Teal'c gets tortured more than anyone else, so much so that it doesn't mean anything anymore. I don't understand why they put it in the episode other than to make sure that Teal'c got his five minutes of screentime.
Not a lot to say on this one, sorry.
Okay, this episode just made me love Elizabeth more. Seriously, when she lost it and yelled down Woolsey and the Oversight board? I wanted to cheer.
I loved McKay and Weir in particular in this episode, they were just spot on. Weir's strength in public and then questioning herself only in private worked so well, and McKay's ranting about how he's responsible for destroying the Earth was so well done.
And considering Elizabeth's relationship now with Landry, I think her attitude last season when she was resisting Caldwell being given military control. She put up a strong front, and Landry respected that strength, enough so that now he takes her part. I think if she'd backed down or done anything other than go full tilt she'd have been percieved as weak by the higher ups, and she'd be in more trouble now than she would be otherwise.
Can't wait to see what happens next week!

Date: 2006-07-15 12:47 pm (UTC)Atlantis was teh awesome, of course, yes. Rodney was awesome! He and Ronon play so well off each other because they're so different and get so on each other's nerves. And his monologue about the worst way to die was so Rodney and, while funny, showed his insecurities well. :D
