Fangirling meme, part two.
Jul. 26th, 2006 02:08 pmI first met you freshman year of high school, when we had to do those ridiculously easy Ninth Grade Proficiencies. We spent about a week getting together after the tests, and I knew I was fast on my way to gaining a new best friend. Of course, I was highly annoyed with myself for not remebering your name at the time, I had to wait until somebody else mentioned it in the conversation. And then we managed to get assigned to work together on that project for Mr. Imber's class, making all of the letters mentioned in The Merchant of Venice, and that afternoon of laughter and insanity cemented our friendship. Plus, when Sara came home from her school and reached over to hug you, you hugged her back and didn't let go until she was ready to move on. Not many people will do that for someone they've just met, especially someone with Sara's obvious disabilities. But from how you interacted with her, it was clear that you cared about her as a person, and that her disabilites didn't matter to you, except as something to be taken into account and adjusted for when you did things for her.
I love your passion for life, for your friendships, and for causes that inspire you. You don't believe in just getting by in life, and that fire in you inspires others arround you. I think one of the reasons the kids in the theater company this summer liked you so much is because they saw that passion in you.
You're always incredibly compassionate. I remember when I was sick, sophomore year of high school and you came way out of your way to see me and to give me vanilla tea in that Winnie-the-Pooh mug. You took care of me then, and you still do it today. You're always the first person to notice when someone's upset, and you go up to that person and try to make them feel better instead of dismissing it as none of your business.
You've got such talent and imagination. I've seen you act and I've read what you write, and it astounds me. You said that you like seeing me dance because you can tell how much I enjoy it, and the same is true with you and acting. Your love of your work is so obvious in everything you do.
And then of course, there is the insanity. Who else would reinact scenes from LoTR with me in the middle of a crowded concert atrium, or go skipping through the mall just because?
And now I am going to shut up and let you stop blushing, or I would end up babbling until I reached the posting limit for a single livejournal entry.

Date: 2006-07-27 11:36 am (UTC)I would accept, but I'm not sure if I have the technical skills for something like this yet. I lack experience writing long plotted stories, and I'm not sure about how well I'd write the original characters you've devised. I'm just not mature enough of a writer to be able to write that kind of storyline yet.
I would be willing to act as a beta-reader and editor though.
