*collapses in a heap*

Whew. It feels like I've been running around in circles all day.

Oh wait, that's pretty much what I did.

Mondays aren't normally this busy, but they held the student organizations fair today. Since I've been appointed Vice Minion for Medieval Society, I ended up spending two of my three free hours between my last class and lab sitting out at a table in garb waiting for people to sign up. Between nine this morning and five this afternoon, I spent only 45 minutes by myself without people. Sigh. At least it won't be this busy most of the time.

On the bright side, I asked my lab instructor if he'd seen my calculator. I realized I didn't have it on Wednesday, and the only place I'd used it was in lab, but I hadn't had a chance to ask him about it yet. He'd noticed it and locked it up so that someone else wouldn't grab it by mistake. This is a good thing, I'll have it back in time to do my homework and tests, and I didn't have to buy another $150 calculator.

Also good, my e-mail is back! *hugs computer* Oh e-mail, how I have missed thee!

Ooh, yeah, we had our organization Open House yesterday. It was scary enough to visit; can't imagine what it would be like to have to be surrounded by that many people for several hours! Sorry.

Oh, and while I was there, I saw the booth for our SCA chapter and thought of you. :)

Whew! about the calculator! Those things are not fun to lose. My parents insisted I have mine engraved at the police station just to make sure it could be found if it ever got stolen/lost. Good of your lab instructor to hang onto it!

Yeah, it was not fun losing it, even if I was pretty sure about where it was. Which reminds me, I need to run past safety and security and tell them they can stop looking for it.

So, did you sign up for the SCA, or just think about me? You'd be in a different kingdom than me, I'm in Midrealm.

I like being a minion.

Or do I not want to know which way you took vice to mean?

Let's go with the more sinister meaning - Grins

Daddy, you have just earned yourself a slap when I come home for fall break.

Yes, that was what tickled me about it - I'm sorry, I can't help it - I'm always seeing double-entendres where none are intended. People wonder why I'm laughing. I hope you know I wasn't casting aspersions on your character. If you were any less upstanding, it wouldn't have struck me as funny.

LOL at your dad's reply. 8-)

Dad loves pulling puns, especially when he knows I'm too far away to slap him for them.

I knew someone was going to have to pull that connotation out. Don't worry, I find it amusing.
