I'm really resisting the urge to spork this girl.

Those in H_E probably already know who I'm talking about. If you don't, be thankful and stop reading from here on in.

One, she joins or starts all of these discussion topics. But she does not know how to argue. She states her points without evidence to back up her beliefs, she uses hyperbole and exageration (colorful language, in her words) to state her points and then gets upset at others when they don't immediately understand what the point she was actually trying to make was. She refuses to argue on the evidence once others have brought in canonical sources to back their rebuttals up, and she's rude and dismissive of anyone else's beliefs.

Two, she came to someone's personal journal to attack them, got pissy when she was called on her rudeness, and had the nerve to demand an apology from her for not immediately agreeing with her on everything.

Three, she brings House into it in a negative fashion. Yes, we're in the houses we're in for a reason. Yes, we do share similar aspects of our personalities because of that. But to say that her being a Gryffindor excuses or explains her arrogance and rudeness? Or that the people who don't like her and don't agree with her are doing so because they're Slytherins and they all hate her because she annoyed one of them is taking the whole house thing far too far. (Not true, anyway, she's antagonized people from all four houses and had arguments with people from every house, including her own.)

She's been in about five fights in the past three weeks here at H_E. Every one of them was preventable. Every one of them was caused mainly by her refusal to back down and admit that she'd made a mistake. If your drabble got disqualified for not fitting the prompt, go ahead and ask for clarification, but you don't tell the person who came up with that prompt that their interpretation of it is wrong because it doesn't match what you wrote. You accept it with good grace and if you have the time and inclination to, you write a new one that actually fits the prompt. If you state an opinion on the books, and others counter your argument with evidence coming directly from said books, you don't get to tell them that their point is void because you don't like their evidence. If someone has spent hours helping you get yourself out of the previous mess, you don't attack her and then get pissy because her friends defended her against your attacks. And you don't go into a discussion based on the canon, speculate wildly, and refuse to back up your "gut feelings" with actual evidence.

Gah, just writing all of that down gets me angry. I do not like this girl

Oh, I know who you're talking about. Yes, rather annoying. I got in on the action a little in the post for everyone to discuss canon-House traits.

I Disagreed with what she said about Cho. But I did it in a very polite and fair (hufflepuffly) way so she didn't get mad at me or anything.

But man, she was wildly off base about some things, and her arguments were definitely, to say the least, faulty.

Out of curiosity, can you get kicked out of H_E for pissing enough people off and such?

With her, I'm afraid that doesn't always follow. If you can pick a fight with starrysilver, you can anyone. She's one of the gentlest and most reasoned people in HE. :/

Well, you can get reported to Wizen if you throw a big enough tantrum, and they hold a trial. Or if enough people unite in a petition to Wizen to boot someone, the trial is also held, I think. Noah can always expel someone with immediate effect (if they explode messily enough) without trial- but it has to be so huge an explosion that their continued membership is simply not viable. He's only ever done that twice, as far as I know.

Ugh, don't even get me started. Apparently I'm only interested in arguing with her because of my friends, not because she completely lacks any and all forms of logic and reason. I'm just...it took every ounce of strength I had today to not just reply to her telling her she was an idiot. Even if I probably came pretty close a few times...

Oh Lord, you know, she's attacked about ten people this month? She started off in Gryff where she threw a fit because she was disagreed with on canon, and personally attacked the disagreer. She's done nothing but lose it with people ever since.

I'm still not quite sure why I'm the human equivalent of the One Ring to her. Seems she's decided everyone who disagrees with her is in My Group, and a Slytherin. Except, um. They're not? -_-

Also I'm puzzled on why she's so outraged that I defriended her- she admitted she started on me out of the blue in my own LJ. Yet according to her, the defriending is absolutely outrageous of me, and how DARE I! Er...

She can't admit that she's at fault, so she's flailing around to grab a victim. You were available and had tried to help her, so she latched onto you as an excuse.

I think I might know who you speak of, but I'm not sure. If it's who I think, I'm surprised because I've never had any problem with her. Then again, when people get confrontational with me and I get angry I usually just shut up and back off unless I know for sure I'll win.

much_reality probably had the most trouble with her over the weekend, but this girl's gotten into a pattern of stating something destined to upset people or cause wank, getting increasingly more upset with people when they try to rationally argue with some of her statements in a discussion post, and then acusing people of bullying her when they point out that she has no evidence to support her arguments and that she's making personal attacks against those who try to debate with her.

As you can tell from the comments to this post, a lot of people have gotten fed up with it.
