Tonight was busy. It was the first meeting of Medieval Society, which was, as always, a total blast filled with absolute insanity on the part of the members. We had elections, introduced ourselves, and had random fits of lunacy. All in all, a typical meeting.

There's an SCA event coming up that we're going to try to attend, and we're going to do more feasts and dances this year. Gee.

Then half of Medieval Society ran across campus to get to Quidditch club. As you might have guessed, it's the Harry Potter community on campus. That meeting was pretty short as well, we voted on offices, watched Potter Puppets, and some of us volunteered to be in a sub-club which would make costumes. We're doing the sorting for the new members soon, I think I was in Ravenclaw last year, but when the meetings switched to a time that I couldn't attend I dropped out. I think I can make it this year, so I'm going to enjoy it.

We cut Quidditch club short to make it to the movie tonight, "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy". Very different from the book in some respects, but it kept the funny bits, and it was entertaining. Plus, Alan Rickman as Marvin? So much fun.

I'm not sure how coherant this is, I'm writing pretty late at night.

*cheers on the geekyness*

Sounds like you had a ton of fun. Yay! :D

And Alan Rickman plays Marvin??? Oh, I must see this even more now.

And saves the day, something that definitely was not in the book. It was really fun though.

Quidditch Club? That sounds awesome!

Agh, I have got to see HHGG! I've been wanting to since it came out. Yay for Alan Rickman! :D

Quidditch club is awesome. I love the fact that college encourages my total geekiness.

The best part of HHGG was in the beginning, where the dolphins had a song telling us that they were leaving. Very fun.

There's also a gun designed by housewives that makes a person see things from whoever's aiming it's point of view. Fun.

It's a lot more romantic than the books are, but also very good. And most of the best lines and scenes are kept, including the whale and the bowl of petunias.

Ooooooh.

I never actually managed to finish the book when I tried reading it a while back. *shame* It just managed to defeat me.

It does get rather random. I only managed to get through the first two books. After that it became to unintelligible.

Yeah, I think I started having trouble after (or close to) The Restaurant on the edge of the universe. Or something.

I read them all but I don't really remember them much. There was one that got a bit to explicit for me, but I don't remember which...
