Feb. 9th, 2007 10:40 pmI am so far behind on my various fannish obligations.
Remind me tomorrow that I need to sort and review stories? And possibly e-mail someone in Stargate club to see what days still need food coverage. If that doesn't wipe me out, I need to do more work on a few stories that are languishing away with about a page each written. As it is, I've spent most of this week sitting around reading fics from fandoms that I'm not actively involved in because I just wanted to let my mind rest a bit.
The sign that I really love my Judaism class is that it didn't occur to me till now that I was missing out on two of my favorite episodes from season one of Atlantis to go to shabbot services the past two weeks. I might have to ask if I can borrow the dvds later, I really wanted to see The Storm/The Eye again. The service itself was interesting, and I had one person ask me how it was that I knew all of the songs. My answer? Uh...I don't? I'm just sort of following along, stumbling over the unfamiliar language as best I can? Apparently, I sounded like I knew what I was doing, like I knew what the melodies were going to be. I'm blaming that on years of choir/actually singing along in church. The basic structure for chants and the simple melody lines we were doing at the service just sort of slots into place after a while. You can tell what the next note will be because it's what make sense to finish out this current phrase.
And I'm rambling.
*is going to trundle off to bed soon, as she can barely keep her eyes open long enough to type this*
