Feb. 14th, 2007 05:33 pmValentine's day? No big deal.
Opening the valentinr thingies and seeing all the wonderful notes that people left me, on the other hand, is fantastic.
Also fantastic are the multiple insane posts up at a few of th H_E comms, making me smile and laugh.
Blatantly stealing from one of them, what do you guys think your Amortentia potions would smell like? (For non HP fans, or for those fans who don't take it to the insane extreme H_E people do, Amortentia is a love potion that smells like things you love.)
Taking my list from that post and editing in the rest of the things I thought of only after I'd posted my comment, I have:
1. Old books
2. Vanilla
3. Cookies baking, probably ginger cookies.
4. Church insense
5. Hot tea/mulled cider

Date: 2007-02-15 12:25 am (UTC)Mine would smell like fresh cut hay, from the first cut of the season, when it's dry and warm, and it's in the field drying. Under that would be the smell of heavy summer afternoon air, when the thunderheads are black in the sky and the feeling of lightning is in the air, and you know that when the storm finally breaks, it'll give you a fine view of nature's light show, one that you could sit at your window and simply watch.

- the smell that's in the air after rain
- smoke from a bonfire
