mari4212I've finally given in and started going back to tag my fiction. I'm still having issues with the fact that I don't really think about myself as a real fanfic writer, but now I'm getting to the point where I really do need to be able to find the stuff I write. (No, I'm not insecure about my writing, really, I just have this weird issue with these things. Possibly due to the fact that I prefer long stories when I'm reading fic, but my natural storylength is under five pages.)
That's continuing slowly, partially because I'm a chatterbox who likes to post daily, and partially because I keep getting distracted as I move backwards through entries and find shiny conversations and discussions that I forgot I'd had. At this rate, I might be done and ready to figure out what stories I like best sometime before the end of the year. *sighs*
Of course, I also let myself get distracted by cleaning out the fountain and going for a nice mall-wander with my sister. She's found a nice potential wedding dress that I wanted to see. It is beautiful, but nothing I'd have imagined she'd go for. It's rather sweet and romantic, but it does look wonderful on her. And on the practical side, the dress is less than a hundred dollars and I already have something similar to it to use as a maid-of-honor dress. Not paying too much for the wedding stuff is definitely of the good. And we're still working with a projected wedding date of over a year from now, so we're not worrying too much about it. But it's nice to know we've got that bit sort of figured out.
We ended up finishing out the mall-wander just in time for me to go to the Lenten Soup and Study at church. We had a nice dinner and then they passed out the art supplies. We were encouraged to draw and play with the supplies while we thought about how we'd experienced Christ in other people and in the world this past week. I had a lot of fun with it, including writing a first draft of a poem.
