Mar. 13th, 2007 11:53 amEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEeeeeeeeeee!
My heart has exploded with squee.
I should probably back up and explain, shouldn't I? It's only fair.
The rabbi came to class a bit early today, and while people were arriving and getting themselves settled, he asks, quite calmly, if I'd come out into the hall to talk to him. I'm walking out there, wondering if I'd unknowingly said something wrong, and he says that he only has this one class on Judaism here at school, but that he does have the option of doing an independent study with people who want to learn more, and that it's invitation only, and that he's only ever offered to do this with a student once before.
Then he asks me if I'd be interested in doing that with him.
I am, by this point, vibrating and bouncing up and down and all but squeeing out loud in utter glee at the thought, as he tells me to ask my advisor about doing it and to check out my schedule for next semester.
So much glee at the thought of this.
And then, to make my day even better, there are flowers outside blooming. Daffodils and one of the magnolia trees. Religion stuff plus pretty flowers? This day is just made of awesomeness.
