mari4212This was a much less stressful Sunday for me than last Sunday was. Although several of us did get sidetracked talking and only realized that we had to get into church at the last minute. I think we're blaming the clock in the parish hall, it said that we had more time than we did.
Thomas returned from New Orleans this afternoon. He apparently had a blast down there, and showed me a video he took of a crocodile biting a marshmallow off of a stick held off of it, amoung other things. But we didn't have much time to talk, he had to leave for his job out at the boy scout camp. Technically, he should have been out there on Friday evening, but he was still out in New Orleans at that point, finishing his last day down there. I'll have to tackle him on Saturday, get the rest of the details from him then.
And we had a relatively relaxed Father's Day celebration. He got a few presents, Elizabeth and John stopped by for dinner and conversation, and we had a nice supper. We even had a sudden rainstorm, which was nice after over a week without rain. Unfortunately, the storm is introducing a heat wave, which I'm not looking forward to. Just washing up after dinner left me hot and sticky.
