mari4212When you get asked to assist in the church's child care coverage on a Sunday, the expectation going in is that you're going to be working with multiple small children. Theoretically, at least.
Today, it ended up being only one child. With two child care people, because of our church's requirements. So he sat around and played with his toys, and we chit-chatted, mainly about her health problems, with me giving the very basic advice that I felt comfortable offering. (I know exactly enough about health care to know when I can give solid advice on something, and when it is not something I should be messing with.)
I spent Saturday afternoon and evening with my mother, sister, aunt, and uncle viewing the park Elizabeth is thinking about using for her marriage and talking. The park is beautiful, and perfect for Elizabeth's personality and the kind of ceremony we're thinking about having. She's planning on going back and checking on it and a few of the other places when October hits, to see what they'll look like when we'd actually be having the ceremony. So things are proceeding apace on that front. We're hoping to get most of it planned out this summer, so all we'll have to do is pull it together next summer.
