Thunderstorms!

We had two separate thunderstorms today, of the sheeting rain, loud peals of thunder, turn off the computer variety.

It's probably a sign of my family's particular brand of insanity that the second thunderstorm had Mom and I bantering about God and various archangels bowling, and what each particular peal of thunder translated into as far as their bowling score.

As I recall, God bowled a split, Michael gutterballed, Uriel got around seven or eight pins knocked down, and Ariel managed a strike. Gabriel was keeping score.

Yeah, it's probably a good thing God has a great sense of humor. Otherwise my family would be in serious trouble.

You probably got our storms from yesterday. Which means that tomorrow you should get at least one more. I'm not complaining, though. I don't know about you guys, but Chicago needed the rain pretty badly.

We got that too, only the power didn't flicker and the thunder was pretty halfhearted. By the time it reached us it was mostly just lots and lots of rain: sheets, yes, and then just a gentle rain most of the afternoon. We definitely needed it.

We got that one while touring the prison. Since the facility was built in the '30s and getting from one area to another required being outside, we ran for it Chinese dragon style under a giant sheet of plastic.

Maybe you're just finaly getting your share of the rain. I know I can count on one hand how many days it hasn't rained and still have a finger or two to spare.

yeah, there have been warnings of dry lightning here, although they haven't really hit my area, mostly just yosemite.
there were a few droplets of rain, but nothing to blink at.

lol at gabriel keeping score. is there reasoning on how you decided who bowled what? or just a random thing?
for me, i imagined that rain = watering the earth, lightning = flashlight, thunder = bowling.

I am not impressed.
