Okay, long day. Even putting aside the fact that my e-mail won't let me on today. I'm not sure if it's something scheduled by E-ville that I just missed because I hate reading their acenotes posts, or if it's just some random thing with their servers being down. So if I haven't responded back to you, it's probably because I haven't seen your comment to me.[

I was planning on putting up an intro post yesterday, but I had an infant demanding attention during the afternoon when I was trying to type it up, and then, well, you saw what distracted me in the evening. I've been following the discussion most of today as well, so you'll have to be patient with me for a while longer. And by the time I actually get the post up you'll probably have figured out most of the important stuff from context and be bored stiff with the official information. Sorry about that.

I did have a fun weekend though, which sort of makes up for the wank of yesterday and today. My city held our annual Celtic Festival Friday through Sunday, and I headed down with my father and my brother on Saturday evening to see Gaelic Storm. If you don't know who they are, try and remember the five good minutes of Titanic. You know, where they go to the steerage party and you can ignore Jack and Rose for the entire scene and just take in the music? Yeah, that was Gaelic Storm, slightly handicapped by not getting to use some of their more non-traditional instruments. They've only gotten better since then.

And [livejournal.com profile] sirutka took me to go see Aida on Sunday. This makes my second opera, and my first non-English one. So far I'm still really enjoying them.

Lucky you getting to see Gaelic Storm! I hope you had a great time. :)

I love the pop rock Disney version of Aida. I'd love to see the opera, too.

Gaelic Storm is going to be at our Irish Festival this weekend -- as is Flogging Molly. I am so frickin' excited.
