Oct. 23rd, 2005 07:51 pmNo one is talking to me. *pokes flist* Seriously, something I have to say should interest one of you at least.
Church was good, as usual. We sang one of the most difficult songs in our repitore this morning in church. Of course, it's also one of our most beautiful. It's Sanctus and Benedictus, arranged by Paul Halley, and I encourage anyone to find a recording of it and listen to it as it is gorgeous. We even called in an outsider to accompany us on the soprano saxiphone, which is what the arrangement calls for. You wouldn't think an organ, a choir, and a saxiphone would sound that wonderful together, but it did. We even had one of the really old guys in the church stand up after we had finished and ask the priest if the congregation could have a few minutes to applaud us for the song. That was pretty cool, and it was done with respect to the fact that we were still in a church during a worship service, so it didn't ruin the mood of the service.
And then this afternoon I had a concert with Women's Chorus. Now, up until Friday at dress rehearsal, we were still not sounding that great on most of the songs. Thank God for preformance mode. We got up there in front of the audience, and it actually sounded good. Plus, I did not faint or get dizzy up there, so yay for me. *does little happy dance of not dizzing out*
And I managed to write a six hundred word essay for
hogsmeade_elite on how I'd end the wizarding war. And it even boiled down to more than just "Kill Voldemort. Boogie down on his grave." Somehow, I get the feeling JK isn't going to do it my way.
I need to e-mail my group for religion class, we need to get together at least once more before our presentation on Wendsday. At the very least, we need to work out exactly what we are going to say before we go up.
