Anyone care to tell me why it is that if I post something for an H_E contest thinking "oh well, at least I'll get five points participation for Hufflepuff", I end up placing well?

We had a drabble contest and I pretty much wrote it at the last minute. To me it felt rather awkward. And it won second place.

H_E voters are weird.
