It is not exactly conducive to improving your patience with said children, or stopping their temper tantrums before they start.
On the plus side, my mother once again proved that she is the best mother ever and got me chocolate. *cuddles her*
And the rabbi contacted me about attending various life cycle events while I'm here in town, because there's a larger Jewish community in Dayton than there is in Evansville. He also put me in touch with a local Rabbi who's going to try to get me to attend various ceremonies as a participant observer, which will be lovely. Of course, the only Bar Mitzvah that they'll be having while I'm in town is this Saturday, and we will still be sans Mom's car because it'll still be at the shop getting repairs. So, cross fingers on me getting to attend that one. I need to call the local rabbi again, because she didn't call me back this afternoon.
I also need to ask my priest if he's willing to help out and be the Episcopalian perspective for this study. I'm sure he'll say yes, but it's nice to ask him before I set the rabbi on him with questions.
