Aug. 30th, 2008 05:21 pmThe things that happen when my sister and her friend take me out for dinner and a movie:
1. I have learned that hard cider can be tasty. And when I'm only drinking the 2 ounce sample glass, I can drink that over dinner and with a cup of iced coffee and not get giggly or fall asleep.
2. Or at least, no more giggly than can be accounted for with my sister and her best female friend sitting there trying their level best to make me blush and fall over laughing.
3. It is never a good idea to tell said women that you have never even kissed a guy. They start talking about locking you in a closet with random friends of theirs, and don't accept "but I want to, you know, actually be interested in a guy before I kiss them" as a valid rebuttal.
4. They also started plotting about who they need to introduce me to as part of their plot to get me dating. Which is rather embarrassing, at least the way they went about it. Funny, but kind of embarrassing.
5. Mama Mia is an incredibly fun movie. It's utterly campy, and it refuses to take itself seriously, so it's perfect for a girl's night out when you want to laugh.
6. It is especially fun in a theater where the other people around you are singing along and dancing to the music.
7. Cold Stone Creamery ice cream is just way too sweet for me. I like ice cream just fine, normally, but theirs is just too sweet for me to eat. I'm rather glad I abstained and let the others grab their deserts then, because it was far too much for me.
