Happy Solstice to all of my flist who celebrate.

And as it's just past sunset here at my home, happy first day of Hanukkah to the Jews and non-Jews on my flist who celebrate.

It's been a rather fun weekend for me, and I've finally met Bishop Breidenthal! He was at the young adult retreat this weekend to listen to us and find out what the diocese can do to help with our age group, as we're the ones who tend to get ignored and lack a place a lot of the time. He didn't talk that much, he was far more interested in hearing what we had to say than speaking himself, but I did learn some interesting things about him. Like the fact that when he was at college, he had the same problem I did in lacking a Christian group that met his needs and accepted him. And his response was the same one I ended up with: wandering over to the Reform Jews in the area and spending a good deal of his college participating in Judaism.

Also, circumnavigating the lake at Procter is very relaxing and good for centering my thoughts, but it was rather cold, and I had to keep looking out for the goose droppings everywhere.
