Okay, the great thing about being in Moore Hall? Two-thirds of my social life here at Evansville is on the same floor with me. I literally couldn't walk out into the lobby without getting at least two hugs and three or four hellos. I can definitely do without air conditioning if it means that I get to have most of my friends consolidated into easy reach whenever I or they get bored.

The not-so-good aspect? The fact that the room layout is abysmal. It really feels as if the architect was told to get the same square footage of storage space as Morton/Brentano, but didn't stop to consider how actual people were going to use the space.

So my books are sitting in a top shelf that is far too deep for me to actually reach even half the way back into it, and all of my electronics have their cords draped over shelves and things to get close to the outlets. Which are all on the underside of the bed, except for the one almost at the ceiling over the dresser, or the two underneath the desk. Utterly impractical.

And that's a rather round-about way of saying that I'm all moved into my dorm room now.

Wait, you go to Evansville? ;_; I really wanted to go there when I was applying to colleges, but out of state tuition is mucho expensive.

Evansville (University of Evansville) is a private school so it's the same price for in-state and out-of-state, which is ridiculously expensive. Unless you mean USI (University of Southern Indiana)? In that case then, I totally agree with you (that's where I go). D:

No, it was Evansville.

The trouble we ran into when I was choosing colleges was that no one in my family has even been to college before, so we didn't know the difference.

Moore was built first, so moore (teehee) likely it was Hey man, it's the 60's, space is like, so not hip. And whatnot. Or Morton/Brentano looked at Moore and actually decided to design the room betters. Sorry, had to get in the Moore Pride. You need to let me know if they still plan on doing the Breakfast of Champions. If they do, that would be pure awesome.
