Aurora:
Okay, that was intense. I loved this, but man was my heart in my mouth towards the end. I loved the team interaction, and especially Teyla's stalling. Insert appropriate sounding technobabble to confuse the boss into giving you more time. gee. And Ronon sitting there watching her do it with a smile on his face, chiming in with a, "yeah, interferance". I liked the Aurora's crew's response to Sheppard. Really, if some guy shows up from nowhere, spouting an insane story, I'd lock him up as well. I might not put him into the same cell that he has repeatedly escaped from though.
And McKay was so on this entire episode. From the start, when he seemed almost down about being on Aurora, which reminded me, has he worn those EVA suits since he went up on the space station with Grodin end of last season? Because he seemed somewhat depressed and he looked like he was remembering something upsetting, and this seemed reminiscent of that scene. And then when he was talking about the crew being in suspended animation, and he goes from saying that there's no idea to know what they are thinking to his 'oh wait, I have an idea' mode. Very cute. And the whole discussion on who should go talk to the Ancients. And of course, his decision to go rescue Sheppard, and saying that it was his turn. Next time it could be Ronon's turn. Again, gee. And then working so hard to disconnect the wraith from the system to protect Sheppard, and only realizing afterwards that that would mean the wraith would wake up and try to kill him. So wonderfully done. Happy sigh.
Mid-season finale:
Ford! He's gotten really scary. This one, I'm not as coherant on. I liked Weir feeling that something was wrong, and Lorne putting his foot in his mouth. I liked all of the character interaction, and McKay yelling about how stupid the plan was and stalking off. I loved Sheppard talking him into it, and the little apology that McKay gave once he heard Sheppard's full plan.

Date: 2005-09-25 12:51 am (UTC)"Lost Boys" was good, I thought. Though I was extremely distracted. (Explaining Atlantisverse to an 81-year-old woman who's only heard of a stargate five minutes ago, and a 50-year-old who's a bit more informed but wondering where MacGyver is, is a little challenging.)
