Feb. 5th, 2008 11:36 pmBiology update for the day:
Yes, in fact, it is possible to write your entire biology lab report on five hours' sleep, in about two hours total time (calculated as time spent actually typing the damn thing, not in the hours you spent yesterday staring in blank despair at the empty screen because the words refused to come out), and have it ready and in semi-decent shape for turning in at lab time.
Also, it turns out that ignoring the whole thing for an evening and reading fluffy fanfic, sorting people in Quidditch club, and coming up with a slightly insane persona in Medieval society, really works well. I ended up waking up at five this morning because of a thunderstorm and typing out the majority of the introduction and methods in less than half an hour.
Luckily, that was apparently the most complex lab we're doing. Yeah, I know, I have no clue why it was the first lab either, if that really is the case. The currently ongoing lab certainly seems easier, though.
On the plus side, my religion teacher today was talking to me and another member of the class about how we both really seemed to get at and understand the stories and theologies being presented in the other class, which was a nice ego boost, one that I pretty much needed at that point, given how my week has been.
I did get smacked in the face a bit with how soon my senior sem paper is going to be due, though. My plans for tomorrow include doing my theo and story homework, and then figuring out research materials for senior sem and for each of my three possible topics for my prophets paper.
And maybe playing more with my
femmefic ficathon story prompts. If I do the one I'm most interested in writing, it'll be my first femslash (my first slash of any type, really). Okay, so it's me and I know going in that I really am not likely to be writing explicit anything, but it's still new territory. I'm bouncing between being excited and worried about how I'll do with it.
