First off, Happy White Rabbit's Day everyone!
Today was rather calm. Saturdays and Thursdays tend to be my rest days. I had work-study this morning down at the library, and there were donuts. This was definitely a good thing in my book. Saturday mornings in the library tend to be rather quiet, as none of the other students are actually awake and functioning.
I've written my first rec for
stargateficrec, I'm doing McKay/Weir this month. This means that I get to look up all of my old favorites, and decide which ones to rec first.
And the other thing I did today was laundry. This ended up being a big production. Our school switched to a laundry card system, but the machines still accept quarters, and I prefer to use the change, as I don't want to spend two dollars on a card, and then have any money I put onto it be unuseable for anything else. However, the school, in its infinite wisdom, removed the change machines from the dorm. Therefore, I have to go to the bank to get a roll of quarters to use. No problem, except for the fact that the bank isn't open on weekends, and I know this. This afternoon, I had money for the driers, which are cheaper, but not for the washer and drier. So I ended up washing everything by hand in one of the laundry room sinks. Lovely. I can do it, but it's not exactly my idea of a perfect way to spend an hour. After I handwashed everything, I loaded the clothes into the drier and thought that that would be it. Not exactly. The drier didn't dry my clothes the first time. Or the second time for that matter. I ended up running a drier three times to get my clothes dry. I am so bringing my clothes home with me next week to wash.
Speaking of next week, I'm bringing home less people than I thought. As of now, two people who were planning on coming home with me have had to cancel. Since they were our drivers, Lierin is contacting some of the others to see if they can give us transport. One of the guys said he could drive, so we'll talk to him. We'll have to see how many actually end up coming.
As for my sorting, it's winding down, but I'm getting lovely comments. The revised totals as of right now stand as:
Hufflepuff: 71
Gryffindor: 32
Ravenclaw: 14
Squib: 7
Squee!

Boo for non-drying dryers and yay for your sorting!
Nice rec, too. I think that's one of the few of hers I haven't read. I shall now.

And yes, it was the first of the month, and therefore it is White Rabbit's Day. I just normally forget to do them. Remind me to do so Novemeber first.

Oh, is it? Huh, didn't know that. Cool!

I haven't gotten it yet, which is weird, but sometimes Yahoo takes a little while to process things.
