1. If you:
A) Like contemporary folk music, especially with a social-justice look-for-the-divine-in-other-people attitude, or
B) Want to hear a musician who seems to have a direct line into my brain.
Run, do not walk, to Carrie Newcomer. Especially the CD Regulars and Refugees, which has suddenly overtaken Gathering of Spirits as my favorite album. There is a mild caveat, because I know there are members of my flist who do not want more Christian stuff, she is Quaker, and does reference religious concepts in her songs. But like I mentioned above, it tends to be along the lines of seeing the Divine in other people, and is in many songs explicitly affirming of the validity of other religious paths.

ljmckay: The first ten people to comment in this post get to request a drabble of any pairing/character of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. If you absolutely can't write, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offer drawings or icons or something instead. If you want to.
Available fandoms: Narnia, NCIS, Star Trek, Firefly, Doctor Who, Torchwood
ETA: Slight spoilers for the most recent Star Trek movie in comments.
