Jun. 14th, 2009 10:58 pmIf I can make it through this coming week, I'll be good. Dad took the upstairs computer for the weekend for boy-scouts, and there was some things I wanted to get done that needed that, like printing up a chart (finally got that one done, it only took two floppy disks and 10 minutes of praying that the computer would read it), and doing research for my polio paper. Those plans kind of got scuttled, so I'm running somewhat behind already.
This is the last week before finals, which means a lot of last-minute homework, two projects coming due, and taking one exam early. Compared to last year's finals, nothing major, but for some reason I'm stressing more than I would otherwise. Maybe it's the environment. I'm a bit less in control here, because I don't have sole control of a computer that connects to the internet, so I've got a choice between typing upstairs, either at night when no one else is up, but I'm tired, or during the days with small children underfoot, or typing downstairs, with less access to online research, and with a massive struggle when it comes to transferring the paper up to where I can print it out.
*takes a deep breath*
Aside from the lack of computer, this weekend was pretty good, actually. Mom, Elizabeth, and I went up to Yellow Springs for a wander this afternoon, something we'd been meaning to do for a while. Something about a rock shop and Father's day coming up. Elizabeth was actually the major spender this weekend, because she found a cast-iron dutch oven that she'd been looking for up in Yellow Springs, and earlier in the day she'd been looking for a fabric to slip-cover a computer chair, and I happened to spot a fabric she fell in love with at Joann's. (I am, of course, not at all proud that I found a fabric that my sister loved that much.)

Date: 2009-06-17 12:44 am (UTC)And actually, things are working out pretty well. I did manage to get all of the homework in for Monday's class, the poster for Wednesday's class is done, and I've got about two pages typed up for the four-page paper for Thursday. So things are much more under control and I should get things done on time with no problem.
