This is interesting. Apparently my flist is so Sue-proof that they don't even show up on a quiz
.
In other news, I've started at least thinking about what my group is
going to be doing for our project on Bathsheba. And I ran into our
teacher today. In her words, it's going to be interesting. That's a
euphimism if I ever heard one, considering that one of my group members
has a rather interesting idea of what the ethics of the stories are.
She's incredibly principles ethics, and if she thinks that the person
in the story violated her ethical standards she has little to no
sympathy. Ironically, she's a lot more willing to cut the men in the
story some slack than the women. I like to think that I have principles
I wouldn't betray, but I at least understand that some circumstances
demand that you make a choice where none of your options are good, and
in that case you try to avoid causing harm to the greatest number of
people.
And why is it that I'm the youngest in the group but I'm the one taking on the leadership role and acting with the greatest maturity? I could understand it in Bio 107, when I was the only one who knew the language well and had the time to be group leader, but here I'm the youngest and I was the one who was attempting to get the others to get to work. Sigh.
I took my second Physics test today. The problems that I had time to do, I think I did well on. But I ran out of time before the end of the test. I wasn't alone in this, I think more than half the class didn't finish in time. Here's hoping he takes that into account in grading. Hopefully this will help my average somewhat.

Because you are the one with leadership skills and the greatest maturity? Age isn't everything as much as it sucks sometimes. *hugs*
*crosses fingers for Physics*

*crosses fingers, then uncrosses them because it's to hard to type like that.*

Date: 2005-10-15 11:19 pm (UTC)Yes, same girl. I get along politely with her, but I'm never going to exactly be comfortable with her or her ethical opinions. I think I'd feel better if she treated the men and women the same, but she's much more likely to favor the men, even when the story itself condemns them. Add in the fact that she's very principles ethics, and does not even seem to grasp the fact that there are some situations where the principles are not a good idea, and you have conflict.
At least it's only one project.
