Nov. 29th, 2009 05:17 pmGoing out and trying a new Greek restaurant on Saturday? Lots of fun, the dolmades are excellent, and the spanakopeta actually has more spinach than feta in it (UE food services, I'm looking at you with this one. The name is spanakopita, not fetakopita.)
Meeting a few geeky guys that your best friend knows, and ending up joining in to a newly-starting rpg? Also fun. Especially since the emphasis is on collaborative storytelling, not on killing as many monsters as possible. I'm playing as a religiously devout goat-human tea merchant who doesn't tolerate heat well. I may also be playing as the only sane person in the group, from the sound of it.
But most of all, getting to hang out with your best friend all evening at the drop of a hat? Win, and a heck of a lot of fun.

Date: 2009-11-30 12:40 am (UTC)My gaming group is all about the cooperative story-telling. So much so that we started LJs for all of our characters. We still kill monsters, though, just not solely for the sake of killing monsters. What game are you playing, by the way?
On an only marginally related note, in our new Star Wars campaign, my friend/GM is playing a retired Jedi tea house owner. He is not, however, part goat.
