Simple Pleasures

mari4212I feel like I've been posting mostly negative/complaining things recently. And while it's good to vent, sometimes I also just need to take stock of good things going on in my life:
Pulling on a warm shirt straight out of the dryer.
Getting/giving random hugs to various family members.
Taking a long hot bath with a book in one hand and a cup of tea sitting next to me.
Curling up in bed with a cat and my computer.
Going to choir and singing with a group of fun and insane people.
The annual cookie-bake and estrogen fest in my family.
Playing with new stink pretties.
Getting to participate in the Snowflake cookie flurry on lj this week.
Having good friends within easy tackle-hugging distance.
Intelligent conversations on a wide range of subjects.
Being able to bend over without my back spasming.
All of you on my flist.
Going to a wedding this coming Saturday for two church friends.
Finding out that in our diocese, priests are now allowed to preform religious marriage/sanctification of same-sex couples. It might not be legal marriage, but it's something. (And knowing my priest, he was probably cartwheeling with joy over this news).
Good music on my computer. Ordinary Day by Great Big Sea ftw.
