I want to go to bed. It's getting late, (11:00), and I want sleep. So why am I up talking to you guys instead of curled up with my teddy bear?

Because my roomate is working on an art project. And she's talking on our room phone. The room phone has been taken off of its perch on the shelf behind my bed, and is sitting where my head should be now. I don't want to be rude and shove her off of the phone, but I can't go to sleep until the conversation is over and the phone is away from where my head should be.

On another note, she's doing her art the same way my sister used to, using the ink pots and a dipping pen to draw over the penciled sketch. Makes me somewhat homesick.

Oh, and someone's making me Firefly sorting tags. I'll post them up here when I get them. Since she made herself the guys version, she's making me an all female version. Kaylee's going to be Hufflepuff, Zoe's going to be Gryffindor, River Ravenclaw, and Inara Slytherin. And one of the minor guest stars, either Patience or Saffron is going to be the Squib.

I just didn't want to interrupt the conversation. If there's a free second today I'll ask her not to have really long conversations that late at night with the phone on my bed.

Since I hadn't said anything to her beforehand, and this hadn't happened before, I didn't want to get that upset at her at this time. She didn't know that I wanted to go to sleep, and I hadn't said anything to her about it before.

Saffron is totally Slytherin. I mean, ambition is her defining characteristic like nobody's business.

I'll agree to that. I was just going for having the girls on the ship be the houses, and guest stars as squibs, because they couldn't make it on the ship. And since the other person has Jayne for Slytherin, I wanted to show the other side of Slytherin. Inara can manipulate her surroundings and read people's intentions and desires easily, it's part of what she's trained to do.

Plus, considering half the people squibbed tend to be squibbed for Slytherin pushes, it feels rather accurate to have a Slytherin-like guest star be the squib.

Yeah, I figured you were going for main characters = houses, guest stars = squib. I just had a gut reaction of "But Saffron is the epitome of Slytherin."

Well, I did give her a few specs, I asked for either Patience, if she had a pic of hers, or if she couldn't get one of Patience, Saffron.
