Thankfully, the rain last night/early this morning broke the worst of the heat and mugginess. Mid-eighties and moderate humidity is a lot easier to handle than mid-ninties and 100% humidity.
To celebrate, Mom, Sara, and I joined my oldest sister, her husband, and a few of their friends over at Caesar's Creek. It's a man-made lake with a swimming beach, and the water was fine for swimming in, if a bit full of goose droppings for my personal taste.
It was a lot of fun, and Sara in particular had a blast, as she loves swimming. But I forgot how wiped swimming for a few hours will make you, as evidenced by my semi-flattened condition now.
Or, in other words, sleep is good. Sleep is my friend.
