mari4212On the not good news: My computer is currently not functional. As in, on Friday afternoon I closed my laptop to carry it back to my room, and when I opened it up again it refused to load anything or go back to the main menu. It's in the hands of the college computer teacher, and hopefully it's just a software problem that can be fixed without losing too much of my data.
On the somewhat amusing news: I'm still not used to how often I get told that I'm so beautiful here. This is the difference in beauty standards between cultures: short, curvy and pale is considered exceptionally beautiful in the Philippines, with a decided emphasis on paleness as the ultimate standard in beauty. As a rather fair-skinned red-head, by that standard I'm very beautiful.
