Dec. 23rd, 2013 05:07 pmWell, it took three hours of walking hither and yon, and two separate post offices, but I now have both of the care packages sent to me. Also, my arms don't feel quite as much like they're going to fall off as they did an hour ago, so tea and chocolate helped in that recovery. A long hot shower tonight, and a batch of ibuprofen will fix the rest, hopefully. Tomorrow, Ma'am Kana will be taking me in for a Christmas eve celebration at her house, and Dad will read the Littlest Angel over Skype to me, so all should be well on that front.
In knitting news, I finished one shawl for the president of the college, and decided to launch into two new projects. One is going to be a stole for the school chaplain that I'm knitting in a linen stitch for the main body. I'm also planning on knitting a lace edging and sewing it on, we'll see if I get that done as well, given how long it can take to knit a few yards' worth of even thin lace.
The other challenging project is for myself, attempting mmario's Dragon Stole. Pretty pretty heraldic/illuminated manuscript style dragon motif.
