On skills and the lack thereof.

mari4212On skills I possess: I can still use enough Latin to translate accurately a quote one of my friends sticks up on facebook without looking up any words. Okay, so I did guess that cervus = deer when I figured out the rest of the quote, but for not actively using much Latin since I graduated college, this is good.
And on the lacking side: I do not have whatever freaking magic it is that makes Filipinos so good at cutting meat into bite sized portions when they're given a chunk of cooked meat still on the bones, a paper plate, and a dull plastic spoon. I simply have no idea how they do it. I also have no idea how they manage to digest so much meat in one sitting, but to be fair, I wonder that about my brother as well.
