The bad part about Christmas break is that once you get through the holiday stuff and family occasions, there's so little time to catch up with everyone. Another of my friends, Jessica, just got back from her family trips, and so we have a week to get together and do things before I head back. So yesterday we got together with lady_tigerfish and hung out. One trip around a mall later, we exited with new books, lots of giggles, and a few new injokes. We tried to head up to a cafe that lady_tigerfish knew, but it had the misfortune of being closed on tuesday. Therefore, we headed back and grabbed dinner from Panera Bread. Yum. During dinner, I let it slip that I'd never seen Pirates of the Carribean, and they decided they had to do something to cure that. After all, with the new movie coming out, I have to at least know the characters. And ljmckay? I know understand your love of Commodore Norrington. Poor guy, he definitely needed a hug at the end of the movie.

Of course, by the time we finished watching the movie and talking, when I got home I just went straight to sleep.

Today, I went baby-sitting. Normally, this kid loves me. Today, he decided that I wasn't a good substitute for Mommy, and he alternately cried and stared at me the entire time. Didn't want to play, didn't want to talk, nothing. Hopefully, he'll be in a better mood tommorow.

Now that I've at least skimmed through my flist, I can go back and do replies.

Oh, and I've promised to do that fic review meme that's been going around. All three stories of it.

No, but I fell in love with him in the last scene where he was so gracious when he'd just lost the woman he loved and had to compromise a bit on his rigid ethics.
