Jan. 11th, 2006 08:04 pmI should always be friends with geeks. They do things like lend me Serenity.
I have Serenity! In my room! Waiting to be watched on the dvd-player that comes with the tv my aunt bought me! *is far too hyper about finally getting to see this movie*
*flails*
I'm going to watch it tomorrow afternoon, after I get through with physics.
Also,
celtic_sky actually gave me topics for the five things lists.
Therefore, we have:
Top Five Moments Elizabeth Weir Rocks
(I'll have you know, it was very hard narrowing it down to only five.)
1. All of "Before I Sleep". Seriously, how can you not love Elizabeth after that episode?
2. When she cries as she's making the videos for the families of the people who have died in "Letters from Pegasus". That scene just hit me so hard, because she cares so much for everybody on this mission.
3. In "Condemned", when she pretty much slaps the corrupt leader in the face with just her tone of voice? Oh yeah, Elizabeth Weir can prod buttock without needing a gun.
4. "Siege pt.2", when she's held captive by the Genii when she comes to negotiate. She's tied up, in a chair, blindfolded, and she's still controlling the room.
5. "The Rising, pt.1" when she's gently teasing McKay and so excited and hopeful and dreaming of the possibilities. Torri Higginson made me love Elizabeth with that scene, when I'd been neutral to/disliked the character in the hands of Stein.
Top Five Best Shoes
(I don't really pay attention to shoes that much, so this will have no mention of brand names, because I don't know them)
1. Low-heeled boots. They exist, they're just exceedingly rare to find, but very comfortable.
2. Slippers.
3. Loafers. Comfortable enough to walk in, but they can look good in more formal occasions.
4. Ballet flats. Again, ridiculously comfortable (are we noticing a pattern here?)
5. Sandals. I live in these during the summer. They're almost as comfortable as going barefoot, and they protect my feet from the sharp rocks and assorted other sidewalk debris

Hee! Well, the only brand names I know are the really big ones like Nike and Lynx and New Balance and Dunlop, so no worries! :D
Ooh, low-heeled boots, yes. And what exactly are loafers? I still haven't figured them out. I'm rather fond of barefeet, joggers, thongs and sandals myself.
Hey! New layout!
