Today I took two tests and made it back into the library for work. Yay me! The antibiotics have stopped just adding to my misery, and are starting to actually work on the cough a bit.

Now, on to the episode reviews.

SG-1
This episode really didn't do much for me, though I loved the commander of the Prometheus and his determination to save his ship or go down with it. And the various members of SG-1 dealing with finding out that Sam lived was well done.

And then the people on the planet said "forget peace, forget the guy that died to get us peace, let's kill each other anyway". Not a fun ending.

Atlantis

Did anybody else think this episode just existed to prove that John is the slut of Atlantis and for McKay to save the day while John got the credit with the alien bimbo? Because seriously, that's what it read as. Although it did give us the great line from Dr. Beckett, "No more house calls". Not one of the best episodes, but it was okay.

Interesting. I enjoyed both episodes, if not as much as usual. SG-1 was a whole lot darker than I tend to like, but they have to temper the humor, I suppose. And I love Col. Pendergast; very sad about him but noble, too.

Atlantis was a bit off-the-wall, but I don't think Shep was quite as promiscuous as they made him out to be in the preview. She really forced herself on him and, hey, he's a guy. Not that I'm condoning it. Rodney had good parts! :D The Hamlet ending killed me, though. :(

I did enjoy both of them, but not as much as I have others. Colonel Pendergast's death was so sad and so well done, and you're right, it was very noble as well.

It wasn't quite as bad as the preview was making it out to be, but I do think he was enjoying it. His "I even got the girl" line at the end supports that.

The Hamlet bit was amusing, which I don't think was quite the point they were trying to make with that allusion, but oh well.

Rodney was the best part, as always.

I absolutely refuse to take The Tower all that seriously. It seems to me that the writers needed a way of getting some more jumpers and drones to replace all the ones they keep breaking and so decided just to have a laugh and do it with the daftest story possible. And I can live with that as long as it doesn't happen every episode.

And it did lead to the hilarious 'John Sheppard - Intergalatic Man of Mystery' vid :D

That works. And at least they aren't going the Voyager route, where the number of shuttles they went through and the number of photon torpedos they used would have been enough for a hundred ships their size.
