Random conversation at my house:

Mom: I've decided to be a mature, sedate, reasonable woman.
Me: Dad? Aliens have taken over Mom's brain.

Ah, insanity. Isn't it wonderful?

I woke up this morning to my cat deciding to return the favor by petting my hair and then falling asleep on my head.

And yesterday I got complimented by Sara's social worker because I was polite on the phone. Huh? I mean, that's just automatic, it doesn't even register with me anymore. She also raised the idea of getting Elizabeth and I registered as level one care providers for Sara, which means basically we'd get trained to do the stuff we already do, and then get paid for it. Somewhat cool idea.

Thomas is currently still getting wooed by colleges, and has started getting interested in Hampshire, Mass. It looks quirky enough to be a good fit for him, and it's also far enough away to suit his tastes (10 hours). We'll see how that goes, but I think he's going to follow Elizabeth's and my bad example and fixate on one college that's perfect for him.

Heh, sounds like Thomas has the same idea about college preferences as I have. Oh as for the politeness thing, I know how you feel; being impolite to someone on the phone? Absurd!
